The band was not able to achieve major success in their home country of the United States but earned huge recognition in other countries, particularly Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career following the breakup of her band in 1979. Ford began to take voice classes and soon released her first album , 'Dancin' On the Edge'. Ford went missing for several decades out of the scene after the releases of both albums. She returned with a bang in the form of her smash success album, 'Lita' it was released in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was her greatest hit, as was the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. The problem was that her popularity was not long-lasting, and she vanished for a few years. The album "Black" album debuted in 1995, and she followed it with her "Wicked Wonderland" album came out almost 15 years after. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Her name was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player Magazine.
