Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13th 1986, in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the first child of Ellen and Gerald Dennings. Ellen was her mother. She worked as a speech-therapist and poet. Gerald, her father was a professor as well as a molecular pharmacist. Dennings was born into an Jewish family and was the eldest child. Dennings went through homeschooling and attended school only for a short time. The decision to go homeschooled was made because she wanted to be an actress at a young age. Her ability to complete her high school education at fourteen years old. When she was nine years old when she began acting in commercials. When she graduated from high school, she and her family moved from the city of Los Angeles to pursue acting. Kat Dennings was her name at the time she started to audition. Kat Dennings made her acting debut following having moved to LA when she appeared in the HBO series "Sex and the City" in the year 2000. In 2000, Kat Dennings appeared in "Sex and City" in HBO.
